SSPDT is committed to protecting the wellbeing of every young person who takes part in our programmes.
Programmes supported by SSPDT are responsible for their own safeguarding procedures. Each school, organisation, or partner must have an up‑to‑date safeguarding policy, appropriate staff training, and clear local reporting mechanisms that reflect their own structures and statutory duties.
SSPDT expects all partners to follow their local safeguarding arrangements consistently and to ensure that any concerns are reported through the correct channels without delay.
We fund tuition, instruments, and innovative projects that widen access, strengthen local programmes, and give young people the chance to learn, perform, and belong.
By investing in local partners who share our values, we help ensure piping and drumming can thrive in every corner of Scotland, not just where resources already exist.
